Biography

VIKA & LINDA A career in the music industry that has surpassed decades is hard to find nowadays. With the evolution of the disposable pop idol, longevity is not something that most artists can aspire to. Not only have Vika & Linda Bull proved themselves household names since their big musical break with Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows, they’ve cemented their imprint on the Australian music scene with a dedicated touring focus which is still going strong. 2004 proved to be one of the biggest and best years for the girls – and it ain’t over yet! They completed another national tour, (promoting their latest album “Tell The Angels”) which included sell out gigs around the nation. This tour culminated in their album hitting top ten on the AIR independent charts, where it stayed for over a month. With such strong working relationships with the country’s best musicians, such as Paul Kelly, Mark Seymour, Tim Finn, Diesel and Tim Rogers it was only natural that Kasey Chambers wanted to have Vika & Linda Bull open for her 2004 national tour. This has proven to be a great way for the girls to diversify their music further; their eclectic mix of music styles cross all boundaries and touches all hearts. An appearance on the NRL Footy Show in Sydney certainly didn’t hurt their reputation either! It’s not to say they weren’t slightly nervous when approached by the producers of the show…how would they go over with the rough, tough rugby boys? Needless to say they shouldn’t have worried; feedback on the show was phenomenal. Everybody loved them! This appearance demonstrated once again Vika & Linda’s ability to branch out into new territory and win everyone over with their upbeat, vibrant performances.
