Award winning vocalist Emma Pask has firmly established herself as one of Australia’s favourite voices in Jazz. Her talent was first spotted by multi instrumentalist James Morrison during one of his regular visits to high schools when she was just 16 years old. Emma first sang with James’ band that night and their musical collaboration has continued to entertain audiences nationally and internationally over the past 20 years. There have been many musical highlights throughout Emma’s career. By request, in 2006, she performed the Bridal Waltz for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s wedding. She has been awarded a ‘mo’ for Jazz Vocalist of the year, received ARIA award nominations and has performed for VIP audiences including the late Diana Princess of wales and Princess Mary of Denmark. Emma has performed to audiences of up to 80,000 people, Sung in London at The Queen Elizabeth Hall with the BBC Concert Orchestra, Played support for George Benson on his tour of Australia. Performed in China with The Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, In Auckland with the NZ Philharmonic, With the WA Symphony Orchestra in Perth. Recorded with the BBC Big Band in London. Performed at the Phillips International Jazz Festival in Kuala Lumpur, Toured her band ‘The Emma Pask Quintet’ through Laos and Singapore Performed in Rome Italy, And has preformed at the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Emma has featured on Channel 9’s Carols by Candlelight live from the Sidney-Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. Emma received rave reviews for her performances in Uruguay, South America. And is a regular at the prestigious Ascona Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Emma makes regular appearances on national television shows such as The Today Show, Mornings, and has co hosted Studio 10. 2013 saw Emma take part in series 2 of ‘The Voice’ Australia. Her Coach, Ricky Martin, was so impressed with Emma’s vocal ability, after she performed ‘Mas Que Nada’ in both English and Portuguese he announced to the world that he would like to invite Emma to record with him on his upcoming Album. He believes her voice needs to be heard all around the world. Her independent self funded jazz album ‘Some other Spring’ held the number one spot on the Jazz Charts for many weeks. In 2013 Emma was signed by Universal music and she released her Christmas album “Season of my heart”. This also held the number one position on the Jazz Charts for many weeks and was nominated for an ARIA award for Jazz Album of the year.
