Biography
Since the early days of a 7 year old, Fatai’s family held her hand while they encouraged her to find a voice. Thirteen years on, Fatai’s voice is heard by millions around the world. It seems like only the start for Fatai, but in reality, she’s been preparing for this her whole life. Fatai danced between the worlds of tv shows and label deals, only to find herself in a place where one thing was sure; her heart and soul is the source of her music, and it’s apparent that many people are empowered and encouraged by it. In a landscape of online social circles and viral videos, in late 2014, everything ramped up for Fatai when her videos found their way to an online audience of over 60 million people, which continues to grow with every video and song she’s released since. As a tribute to her talent, this was a spark that’s helped expose her talent to the four corners of the globe. Fatai released her debut single Purple on 16 August 2015, and her debut EP Undone on 20 November 2015 via a very unconventional method – by which every song was released, day by day over the course of a week, in the form of a live video performed in Fatai’s backyard in Melbourne, Australia. The release was a great success. Within the last two years, she’s toured as main support to Boyce Avenue (USA) on their sold-out Australian tour, main support to Guy Sebastian on his Australian Arena tour, main support to David Ryan Harris (USA), and she sold out her own headline tour spanning Australia and New Zealand. Fatai is now touring North America for the first time and is thrilled to perform live for the people who have so far, only been able to meet her online.
