Norwegian three-piece dance-pop superstars KEiiNO have confirmed they will be in Melbourne for Spring Carnival Week, as a part of their first Australian tour.
KEiiNO dominated the global voting for the massive Eurovision Song Contest in May, 2019. Their song Spirit In The Sky won the global audience vote and topped the voting in eight countries including Australia. Since then Spirit in the Sky has the single has been streamed over 30 million times (Spotify, YouTube & Apple Music combined). There is no doubt that the Norwegian band’s mix of dancepop, nordic folk and Sámi joik, has reached a broad audience – since Eurovision they have been playing very big festivals in Europe and in Great Britain.
KEiiNO have now released a new single Praying and it is set to follow Spirit In the Sky to global popularity.
The band’s joyous and uplifting live show also includes their Europop re-make of Lady Gaga’s Shallow and songs from the successful solo careers of the three members Tom Hugo, Alexandra Rotan and Fred Buljo. The trio’s support of Pride events in Europe has made them icons in the gay community and their crowd-pleasing live shows create a party atmosphere that transcends national borders.
