Biography

Hailing from the NSW Central Coast, 19 year old Lucy Parle is a storyteller who occupies her own unique position at the intersection of indie, pop and alt-country. Lucy’s first five singles have introduced a remarkable new talent to the world, clocking up almost a million streams across the DSP’s.

Her latest single ‘Loud’, sees her working with renowned young producer Jack Nigro (The Terrys, Pacific Avenue, TOTTY). Dynamic, punchy and immediately hooky, Loud showcases Lucy’s rockier side.

Increasingly referred to as ‘the Australian Taylor Swift’, Lucy’s honest and confessional lyrics, encompassed in a timeless sound, will appeal as much to fans of Vance Joy or Amy Shark as it will The Beatles or Fleetwood Mac. Lucy puts her heart and soul into every performance and has been described by fellow artist Sarah Humphreys as “humble and sweet with a simply gorgeous voice and perfect pitch”.

Lucy brings a melodic sensibility and deft songwriting skill to her craft that have seen her win multiple awards; including taking out the Teen category of the highly coveted International Songwriting Competition in 2020.

Lucy’s live performances have reached new heights in the last 12 months, playing at renowned venues across Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle. Lucy’s newly formed band, consisting of Jacky McCormack, Eli Knox and Elliot Mylchreest, adds a vibrant dynamic to her songs. Leading into 2023, Lucy is working towards releasing her debut album and playing shows across the country, both solo and with her band.

Recognised as a standout performer in triple j’s Unearthed High in both 2020 and 2021, Lucy has inked deals with boutique indie label Double Drummer (Greta Stanley, Dominic Breen, Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird) and ORiGiN Music Publishing (Megan Washington, Gotye).
