Biography
Electronic three-piece Miramar are quickly making a name for themselves as one of Sydney’s rising dance acts with a string of exciting releases and packed-out shows at iconic venues like the Factory Theatre and Lansdowne Hotel.
Living together in a Sydney sharehouse since 2018, roommates Matt, Sam and Rosh decided to form the pop-electronic trio in early 2020 during the first COVID-19 lockdown. Their first release was an entry into Triple J Unearthed’s inaugural ‘Supergroup’ competition titled “By Myself”, which received airplay across Triple J and Unearthed and was featured as a staff favourite entry to the competition. On the back of this, the trio began writing some more tracks and eventually released their first single ‘Smoke Machine’ in early 2021. Since then, the group have played a string of shows and added a second single to their catalogue, becoming known for their lush soundscapes, thumping house grooves and catchy pop hooks along the way.
