Biography

Phil Burton is one of Australia’s most adored and
respected entertainers. The multi-talented singer,
arranger, musical director and live performer has
performed for over three decades in the entertainment
industry internationally. Phil is one of the co-founders
and members of Human Nature – one of the finest
pop-vocal groups in the world. The group’s distinctive
harmonies, catchy tunes and stellar live shows have
won fans all over the globe cementing them as one of
Australia’s finest exports. Human Nature’s illustrious
career has seen them release 13 studio albums, 4 of
which went to number 1 in Australia, 27 platinum awards,
19 top 40 singles and five top 10 worldwide hits, with
album sales in excess of 2.5 million in Australia alone.
They were honoured in 2019 with induction into the Australian Recording Industry Association
(ARIA) Hall Of Fame, and in the same year were each awarded a medal of the Order of Australia
for services to charity, entertainment and the arts. Phil has recently returned home to Australia
following an 11-year headline act residency at the Imperial Palace and Venetian Hotel Casinos
in Las Vegas. Performing over 2500 shows during that time has meant that Phil is at the very
top of his game when it comes to presentation, comfort and confidence in front of an audience
or camera.
Phil has always had an avid keenness to understand all facets of the media industry. He has
a strong passion for the arts, is a huge fan of Australian sport, and has dabbled in musical
theatre, public speaking and television & radio hosting.
Phil has spent 31 years in Human Nature developing and sharing his world renowned creativity
in musical direction, arranging and performance skills, and the development of young talent
has been a big part of Phil’s career – hosting and participating in numerous youth based
performing arts development projects across the globe, along with many other communitybased
foundations and charities. Helping people not just from an entertainment perspective
but from all walks of life has been a lifelong passion.
Phil has been interviewed and performed on some of the highest rating shows around the
globe from Oprah, The Today Show (Aus & US), The Project, Dancing With The Stars (Aus
& US), The Block, Sunrise, The Chew, 60 Minutes, A Current Affair, and the Sydney 2000
Olympics.
Phil has an infectious charm and endearing sense of humour that sit comfortably alongside his
professional composure, warm relatability and easy manner which captures and engages fans
from all over the world.
