Singer, Songwriter and Producer Guy Sebastian is arguably Australia’s most successful male solo artist. Guy’s incredible soulful and powerful voice, his honest lyrics and genuine family values bring sincerity that the Australian public have related to and loved since he burst onto Australian TV screens in 2003. Guy is the only Australian male artist to have ever achieved six number one singles and two number one albums in ARIA chart history. Guy has achieved over 30 x Platinum singles sales in Australia and well over 7,000,000 combined units sold worldwide. His global hit ‘Battle Scars’ with Lupe Fiasco reached #1 on the US R&B/Hip Hop digital chart and peaked at #11 on the US iTunes Chart. The international hit has had over 239 million streams worldwide and counting. His international TV performances include The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon Live ,The Conan O’Brien Show, The Voice Holland, and he has performed for Queen Elizabeth II, Pope Benedict XVI and Oprah Winfrey.
Guy is the winner of six ARIA Awards including: Song Of The Year (‘Choir’), Best Pop (Armageddon Album), Best Live Act (the Get Along Tour) Best Video (‘Choir’ ) and two Highest Selling Single awards (‘Angels Brought Me Here’ and ‘Who’s That Girl’). Guy’s smash hit single, ‘Choir’ was released in May 2019 and instantly captivated the country with it’s message of resounding hope through love and loss. It continues to dominate Australian Radio Airplay with heavy rotation across the nation and was the number one song played on radio for six consecutive weeks making the song officially Guy’s most successful song at Australia radio in his career. ‘Choir’ peaked at #1 on Australian iTunes charts and #7 on the ARIA Charts, and topped the TMN Hot 100 charts surpassing International and Australian music released at the same time. ‘Choir’ is 3 x Certified Platinum and has had 39 million streams worldwide and counting. The song also features an Alan Walker remix and Alternative Versions. ‘Choir’ follows Sebastian’s anthem of fierce determination, ‘Before I Go,’ which was released in late 2018. Before I Go occupied a spot in the Top 10 on the Australian Radio Airplay for 15 consecutive weeks and was also a hit in Europe, peaking at Number One on the iTunes charts in the Netherlands where Sebastian performed the song on their version of The Voice. The hit song has had more than 36 million streams worldwide and is certified platinum.
Guys single, Let Me Drink ft The Hamiltones & Wale was released in November, 2019. It is the third single to be lifted from his forthcoming ninth album and is a soulful instant classic that’s impossible to ignore. In 2019, Guy joined a panel of international mega pop stars Kelly Rowland, Boy George and Delta Goodrem on The Voice Australia as a Super star coach for the first time. In November 2019, Guy Sebastian successfully hosted the 2019 ARIA awards to much acclaim and on the night was awarded two prestigious awards (Video Of The Year & Song Of The Year – Choir) out of four nominated categories. In 2019, Sebastian was honoured with the distinguished Member of the Order of Australia Medal (AM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honors for his contributions to the Arts and Community.
In 2020 Guy is back as Super star coach on Season Nine of The Voice, solidifying him as the much loved artist, coach and mentor he has always been. He is also set to release new singles & his highly anticipated ninth studio album.
